Digital BA790 delivers the same high-fidelity, wide frequency response you'd expect from a home stereo system, but in a surprisingly compact and portable design. In addition to the analog input, the 790's digital (S/PDIF) input offers the highest possible signal clarity and integrity. Connect the 790 to a portable CD layer, MP3 player or video game station, and witness the powerful output normally limited to much larger 3-piece (or even 5-piece) multimedia systems.The key to the BA790's rich mid- and high-frequency response is the 2,5" (6,3 cm) wide-range driver in each satellite. Boston employs advanced computer modeling to design drivers that reproduce seven audible octaves with amazing accuracy and smoothness. Each satellite's driver assembly includes Boston's patented MagnaGuard magnetic shielding to prevent video interference. Add color-coded inputs, pedestal stands and a desktop audio control pod, and the 790 offers uncommon flexibility. The BA790's vented, dual-chamber subwoofer design maximizes bass response but is small enough to place under a desk or in a corner. Inside, a potent 5,25" (13,3 cm) driver and equalized amplifier deliver the 790's strong, articulate bass. All inputs and outputs are clearly color-coded on the subwoofer's faceplate for easy setup.
